At York Childcare, we offer a specialist service for Out of School clubs across the City of York through our trading arm company York Childcare Out of School Club Support Service LTD.

What makes us different to others? We offer a unique service of support and bespoke packages for the OOSC and preschool sector.

Our service provides the following:

  • HR advice
  • Payroll, HMRC and pensions services
  • Support to be Ofsted Ready.
  • Support to assist clubs in meeting the welfare requirements under EYFS
  • Bespoke training packages
  • Invoicing and purchase orders including monthly fees
  • Policies and Procedures updates
  • Risk Assessment and general H & S advice
  • Safeguarding Training and advice
  • Trustee Support including support with roles, responsibilities, Ofsted suitability EY2 etc
  • Annual Accounts and filing with companies’ house/charity commission
  • Monthly Manager meetings.

A spotlight on Debbie Adair:

DA

Debbie has been working with professionals in the early years sector for over 40 years. She qualified as a Nursery Nurse gaining her NNEB many years ago which has provided her with the platform to build on her knowledge, expertise, and skills gaining many qualifications in all areas of childcare including Level 5 in leadership and management.  In 2011 Debbie gained an MA in Education Improvement Development and Change supporting the impact of training on professional practice.

Debbie spent 18 years with a Local Authority as an Access and Inclusion Adviser with an added remit of supporting 14 out of school clubs in York.

“Children and young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities are my passion and I enjoy passing my knowledge and experiences down to likeminded professionals. I have a good working knowledge of child development and EYFS. I have high standards surrounding the provision of childcare that should be delivered; ensuring the safeguarding of the children is paramount and promotes the interests of children and young people. I have a strong working knowledge around the Equality Act, Children Act 1989/2004, Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Disability Equality Duty (DED), Aiming High for Disabled Children (AHDC) and Every Disabled Child Matters (EDCM).”
