We provide full and part-time day care (and flexibility when possible) for children in the 6 weeks to 5 years age group. In the nursery world there is nothing more important than being able to trust the person looking after your child. Our nurseries all have secure entry systems making each location a safe and secure place for your child.
We believe that healthy, interesting, nutritious meals are of fundamental importance, which is why at each nursery we employ a cook to prepare home cooked meals on site in our own kitchens on a daily basis.
Our nurseries are all registered with Ofsted, and rated GOOD.

A note from the Director of Operations
Victoria joined York Childcare in April 2023 as our Director of Operations following the CEO’s retirement. Having worked in the education sector for over 15 years including co-owning a successful 150 place private day nursery and lecturing at university level Victoria has enhanced her leadership skills throughout her career and has a passion for working with parents and carers through developing the key person approach.
Victoria says “I have always found that the key to a successful early years’ experience is strong and open communication between the settings and the parents and carers (in fact I even did my Master’s dissertation on this subject!). I aim to continue to build upon this and support the teams in embedding this vision further.”
Charitable Status
York Childcare is a registered charity, managed by a board of voluntary trustees, who have a particular interest in supporting the childcare needs of lone parents.
