Welcome to York Childcare

Hello and welcome to York Childcare Ltd.

If you are looking for high quality Ofsted-regulated childcare for your child you have come to the right place.........here at York Childcare we understand that there are times when you need extra support to juggle work, family life, domestic chores and social events, that is why we strive to support you in the best way we can.

Nurseries
Our three children's day nurseries provide full and part-time day care (and flexibility when possible) for children in the 6 weeks to 5 years age group.
In the nursery world there is nothing more important than being able to trust the person looking after your child. That is why at York Childcare we only recruit staff who are going to create and maintain a fantastic relationship with you and your child. All of our staff are qualified, warm, caring, and are committed to continuing their professional development. Please be assured all of our staff are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and are never alone with a child.

  • Our nurseries all have internal security systems making each location a safe and secure place for your child.
  • Our nurseries are all registered with Ofsted.
  • We believe that healthy, interesting, nutritious meals are of fundamental importance, which is why at each nursery we employ a cook to prepare home cooked meals on site in our own kitchens on a daily basis.

Out Of School Management Service
Our Out of School Club Management Service manages five out of school clubs including holiday clubs across the city for school aged children. We currently work in partnership providing childcare for the families whose children attend Acomb Primary School, Our Lady Queen of Martyr's RC School, St. Barnabas CE Primary School, Poppleton Road Primary School, St. Paul's CE Primary School, St. Paul's Nursery School, Dunnington Primary School and Clifton with Rawcliffe Primary School.

Our management service is unique, as we can offer the day to day management of your setting instead of parent volunteers. Our Management Service includes completion of accounts, invoicing, banking, budgets and payrolls. We would be responsible for safe recruitment of staff and staff development. We make sure each setting is meeting Ofsted requirements and is offering high quality childcare. We fund raise and complete grant applications, making sure your setting is sustainable. For more details please contact Karen Bradley on 01904 409764 or email enquiries@yorkchildcare.co.uk

To find out more about us, please do browse through the pages of this website. We would love to meet you and your child in person at the setting of your choice, and be assured you will be made to feel very welcome. Why not arrange a tour of the setting you are interested in and come and meet us all?

Charitable Status
York Childcare is a charity, established in 1990, managed by a board of voluntary trustees, who have a particular interest in supporting the childcare needs of lone parents. A limited number of assisted places are available at each of its three nurseries, enabling parents / carers to access high quality day care, yet pay a subsidised rate, subject to certain criteria. If you need information about our assisted places please click on the Funding and Assisted Places tab.

If you are interested in becoming a trustee, please contact Karen Mawson via headoffice@yorkchildcare.co.uk
