Steps to Quality is City of York Council's quality assurance scheme for all childcare and early years education providers and has been developed by the Early Years Service and the York Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership.

By developing a quality assurance scheme York is making sure that the standard of childcare and early years education is of good quality and constantly improves.

Steps to Quality in York will now be included on the Sure Start list of Investors in Children accredited schemes. There are currently 20 providers taking part in the scheme, including childminders, maintained nursery and foundation stage classes in school, playgroups and day nurseries.

WE ARE HAVING OUR ASSESSMENT ON THE 4TH AUGUST TO SEE IF WE HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN COMPLETING STEPS LEVEL 2.

WE WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW HOW WE HAVE GOT ON !
